As part of my last project I developed my previous theme of 'Identity' I chose to concentrate on the idea of how people are judge by there appearance and decided to show how the reflection of a lense could demonstrate different sides of someone that may not always be seen. This project was shorter than the previous titles so I didn't manage to finish this one to the standard that i would have prefered.
My main piece was done on a small thick piece of wood using arcylic paint, generally I foung that working with acrylic didn't come as natural to me as most people.
Here are a few images which influneced my piece, I liked how the image uses the colour to connect the two head. This is how the introduction of the lense came in, I tried to capture in my photos the disformation create by the relfections in the lense to try and create a similar effect.
This is a copy of an artist who paints in the style of pop art. As my piece was in a similar style and around the same subject this helped support my idea of beauty.
